Roypow lithium at the core.
Every G-CART runs on Roypow lithium batteries — from a specialist that builds lithium packs specifically for golf carts and utility vehicles. The chemistry is LiFePO4, the most stable lithium type available, paired with AC motor systems, a 10-inch touch-screen multimedia central control panel and proper braking. Here's what's inside, and why it matters.

Roypow lithium, built for the job.
Every G-CART is powered by Roypow — a specialist that focuses solely on lithium batteries for golf carts and utility vehicles. Our packs are 51.2V systems running 105AH as standard across every model in the range, with a 150AH upgrade available. Against the lead-acid packs still found in many carts, lithium is the single biggest quality difference under the body: it never needs watering or acid top-ups, never corrodes at the terminals, weighs far less, charges faster, and lasts dramatically longer — thousands of charge cycles where lead-acid manages a few hundred.
- Roypow 51.2V 105AH — standard across all models. 150AH upgrade available.
- No watering, no acid top-ups, no terminal corrosion — ever
- Lighter, faster-charging, and rated for far more cycles than lead-acid (exact cycle count and charge time confirmed at final configuration)

LiFePO4 — the stable lithium.
Not all lithium is the same. Roypow packs use LiFePO4 — lithium iron phosphate — the most thermally stable and safest lithium chemistry available. Unlike the lithium types behind headline battery fires, LiFePO4 is not prone to thermal runaway, which makes it the right choice for a vehicle that lives in a garage, charges overnight and carries your family. It's a genuine technical advantage few buyers know to ask about.
- LiFePO4 chemistry — the safest, most stable lithium type
- Not prone to thermal runaway, unlike other lithium chemistries
- Built-in battery management with thermal protection; charges from a standard home plug

AC power, surefooted and silent.
G-CARTs use AC motor systems — 4 to 5kW depending on the model — for seamless, quiet acceleration without fumes. There's no gearbox, clutch or gear changes: a direct-drive transmission puts power down instantly and smoothly from a standstill, through a semi-floating differential rear axle. The A2 Standard climbs gradients of up to 30% on its 2- and 4-seater configurations — steep estate driveways included. Higher-spec models stop on electromagnetic or disc braking; entry models use drum and mechanical parking brakes, and 2-seater models pull up in just 5 metres from operating speed. Either way, stopping is confident, and tuned suspension soaks up estate roads, gravel and grass alike.
- 4–5kW AC motor systems, by model
- Direct-drive transmission — no gearbox, no clutch, no gear changes
- Semi-floating differential rear axle
- Climbs gradients up to 30% (A2 Standard, 2- and 4-seater)
- Electromagnetic or disc braking on higher-spec models
- Drum and mechanical parking brakes on entry models
- 5-metre braking distance from operating speed on 2-seater models

Built like a vehicle, not a runabout.
Underneath the finish, a G-CART is engineered like a proper vehicle. The frame is automotive-grade steel pipe, integrally welded, then finished with automotive-grade electrophoresis and powder-coating technology — the same corrosion process used on cars, sealed against rust and the South African climate. The floor is aviation aluminium; the body and roof panels are injection-moulded engineering plastic; the seats are moulded high-density foam. It's the substance that separates a cart built to last from cheaper alternatives.
- Automotive-grade steel pipe frame, integrally welded
- Automotive-grade electrophoresis and powder-coating finish
- Aviation aluminium floor
- Injection-moulded engineering plastic body and roof panels
- High-density foam moulded seat cushions
- Hinged front windshield
- Full LED lighting system

A 10-inch touch-screen.
At the centre of every G-CART cockpit is a 10-inch touch-screen multimedia central control panel — one clear, modern interface for the cart's controls and media, within easy reach of the driver.
